Patch 3.2 for Blizzard's World of Warcraft went live on the servers today (8/4). This patch includes many anticipated features for both PvE and PvP, including a new 10 and 25 man raid, a new 5 man dungeon, a redefinition for the term "heroic" regarding raids, and a new 40 man battleground.

As of this patch all dungeons that previously dropped Emblems of Heroism, or Emblems of Valor will now drop Emblems of Conquest. These can still be converted downwards into Valor and then Heroism for purches of non-Conquest items. This change, in addtion to the increase of basic flight speed from 60% to 150%, as well as the inclusion of new Heirloom items that will speed up leveling, should have many people leveling, and gearing, new alts for the new dungeons.

With this patch also comes the new arena season, and with it, a huge change to the resilience mechanic. Resilience will now operate as a straight damage reduction stat, and will require substantially more to reduce the critical strike chance of attacks by the same factor as it used to.

Another big change to this patch is the removal of the Bind on Pickup aspect of the mounts that are received from the trading card game. This was done as a means to end situations where people would be scammed by purchasing a card whose code had already been used. The side effect is that we should expect to start seeing some of these rare mounts on auction houses.

All of this combined with extensive class retooling makes for a very substantial content patch, and with any luck, an insubstantial ammount of time recovering from the patch process.
